The Indiana Fever have had a blockbuster free agency that's resulted in some of the best moves in the league. The team added DeWanna Bonner, Syd Colson, Natasha Howard, Sophie Cunningham, and Brianna Turner and also made sure to lock in Kelsey Mitchell for another season, and fans aren't hiding their championship-sized expectations.

And it turns out all of those moves are just as appreciated by members of the team. A few weeks ago Stephanie White emphasized that Mitchell, Clark, and Aliyah Boston all told the front office to "take care of our locker room" during free agency, and a recent comment by Boston seems to confirm that mandate has been met.

The Fever front office has played free agency the right way

While speaking to reporters at Unrivaled Wednesday, Boston revealed the Fever front office has "definitely" kept the team "in the loop" as they've made front office moves.

"I think the front office did a great job of including us [about] who they were looking at and how they thought they would fit wtih us, which I think is always super important. Because when you have a squad like we do, you want to continue to make sure, 'Oh, I definitely think it would be a good fit, or I think that would be a great fit.'"

Boston added that she was "super excited" about "everyone the front office" either brought to Indiana or spoke to her about. "And I think we see that now with everyone we signed," she continued. "I'm super excited for what's to come with the Fever squad ... it's going to be fun."

Boston's comments should also put to rest worries and rumors that the Fever will have to balance too many egos during the 2025 season. It sounds like everyone involved — from the team's core to players who have joined this season — is ready to work together to achieve the best possible results.

The team's first preseason game is on May 2

The Fever will play their first preseason game against the Brazilian national team on May 2. Tickets for the game sold out in 40 minutes, which is a pretty staggering fact — but also what we've come to expect from the squad.

The game is extra special because it will be played at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, where Caitlin Clark played as a student at Iowa. The team will also likely rely on the wisdom of Damiris Dantas, who is from Brazil and played with the country's national team in the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games.
