Another day, another celebrity commenting on the Caitlin Clark debacle.

Rachel DeMita, media personality known for her appearances in the NBA 2K video game franchise, released a video Wednesday in response to the media outcry revolving around Caitlin Clark's TIME Magazine article.

TIME Magazine honored Clark as the 2024 Athlete of the Year. The recognition led to a great deal of controversy, sparking reactions from Washington Mystics owner Sheila Johnson, Skip Bayless, and Dan Patrick, among others.

DeMita is the latest to voice her displeasure with the conversation surrounding Caitlin Clark.

"A lot of these people with these really strong-- and really dumb-- opinions unfortunately happen to work within the WNBA," said DeMita. "What they are doing is casting this negative light on the entire league."

DeMita referenced Johnson directly, identifying her as "the Mystics owner," claiming she did not know who Johnson was before her comments aired on CNN. DeMita said that Johnson's comments were "one of the stupidest things" she had ever heard.

DeMita then took aim at social media users, saying that they were the other half of the problem when it comes to Clark's reception. DeMita bashed their opinions, basically stating that they were completely baseless and wrong.

"I would get more out of arguing with a wall than trying to argue some of these people's points online." -Rachel DeMita

DeMita then took aim at who she believes the real culprits are for Clark never catching a break-- media members like herself.

"I have to think about why I'm actually bringing up these 'drama stories' at this point in time," said DeMita. "People with terrible takes and [these] hateful things that they're saying-- when are we gonna top giving them light?"

DeMita then made sure she stated "abundantly clear" that she believes Clark has earned everything that she has ever been awarded. She also stated that she believes Clark is already one of the greatest women's basketball players of all time.

"What she has done is so special," said DeMita. "I can't even imagine what it's like being in her head... The firestorm around her has just gotten out of control."

DeMita said that she will no longer be contributing to the drama surrounding the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year and will focus on bringing her audience strictly basketball coverage from here on out.
