Caitlin Clark has been quite the spectator this WNBA offseason.
So far, Clark has been to a Kansas City Chiefs game to hang out with Taylor Swift, she's been to multiple Butler and Pacers basketball games, and now she has entered the realm of the NBA G-League.
The Indiana Mad Ants, the G-League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, played host to the Salt Lake City Stars on Friday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. It was the regular season opener for the Mad Ants, and the first of two straight matchups with the Stars. The game was a high-scoring affair, with the Mad Ants taking home the win 127-116, but the Fever rookie guard stole the show from the sideline.
Clark was courtside with her boyfriend, and fellow Iowa Hawkeye, Connor McCaffrey. McCaffrey played six seasons with the Iowa men's basketball team, where he met Clark. McCaffrey now coaches as an assistant for Butler University, just up the road from Gainbridge Fieldhouse. It is one of the reasons Clark can be seen at so many Bulldog home games.
Clark is starting to immerse herself with Indianapolis sports this offseason, and having some great company doing it. Of course, McCaffrey has been spotted with Clark often. But Clark and Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton have seemingly developed a friendship, as the two have been seen courtside for Butler games on multiple occasions. Then, as mentioned, she of course has spent time in the Arrowhead suites with Taylor Swift.
Wherever Caitlin Clark goes, the cameras are bound to follow.
