The Indiana Fever are not done bolstering the roster ahead of the 2025 WNBA season.
The Fever landed Sydney Colson on a one-year deal, ESPN's Alexa Philippou reported Tuesday night. Colson, who spent three seasons with the Las Vegas Aces, is a 10-year WNBA veteran who should provide some guidance to Caitlin Clark and the rest of the young stars in the backcourt.

Colson is a two-time WNBA champion with the Aces, who won back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023. Last season, Colson averaged just under 3.0 points per game in eight minutes per contest.
The move comes just days after Indiana waived backup guards Victaria Saxton and Grace Berger. With Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, Sophie Cunningham, and Lexie Hull all taking up minutes in the backcourt, the addition of Colson will be more for leadership than playing time.
This Fever roster looks very different since the beginning of February. The team announced additions of free agents Natasha Howard and DeWanna Bonner earlier this week, as well as the trade for Cunningham that also meant the Fever would part ways with NaLyssa Smith.
The Fever are looking to win now.
As a potential rotation, the Fever would have Clark and Mitchell in the backcourt. Bonner would play small forward with Howard as the power forward and Aliyah Boston down low at center. The second unit, as it stands, would be Hull, Cunningham, Katie Lou Samuelson, and Damiris Dantas down low, with either Colson or Erica Wheeler taking up the fifth spot.
With Colson providing much-needed depth and experience, the Fever have something brewing in Indy.
