With the off-season in full swing Indiana Fever stars Aliyah Boston and Lexie Hull found themselves in their old stomping grounds.

Each of them visited their respective high schools where they were honored with warm welcomes and their stake in their school's history.

Aliyah Boston

Aliyah becomes the first ever athlete at Worcester Academy to have their jersey retired. Worcester Academy has a reputation of producing talent within their athletic department including but not limited to Jordan Lucas of the Kansas City Chiefs and Rick Carlisle, current head coach of the Indiana Pacers.

Before becoming SEC Female Athlete of the Year and two time National Player of the Year at South Carolina and the first overall pick in the 2023 WNBA draft, Boston led Worcester to a 24-1 record which included a New England Prep School Athletic Council Class A championship in 2019.

She remembers her years at Worcester being some of the best of her life after moving to New England from the Virgin Islands.

Boston left her Alma mater with a long lasting piece of advice. "To the young ones in here, I just want you guys to dream big, no matter what the situation id, no matter what it looks like, dream big," she said.

Lexie Hull

Lexie Hall, along with her sister Lacie, were both inducted into the Central Valley Athletics Hall of Fame last month after becoming two of the most decorated athletes in the school's history.

Hull helped lead her high school team to two state championships in 2016 and 2018. She returned to not only receive induction honors, but her championship teams reunited for the occasion.

She completed her high school career as the all-time leading scorer with 1,883 points and was a two time Gatorade Washington Female Player of the Year. Having coming from an athletic background, Hull credits her success to her competitive nature.

Her high school honors aren't to just recognize her career there, but to admire her continued athletic success. Hull eventually went on to play at Stanford where she helped lead them to three straight Pac-12 tournament championships, making two final four appearances and winning a national championship in 2021.
