The Indiana Fever announced last week that new state of the art facilities will be coming to Indianapolis.

CEO of Pacers Sports & Entertainment Mel Raines broke the news stating "With the goal of Indianapolis becoming the epicenter of women's sports, this world-class sports performance center will be the preeminient place for players to train, dream big and push their boundaries."

The facility will include two courts, a childcare space and pilates studio and will totally roughly $78 million dollars. Women's basketball is officially on the map and it is here to stay.

Fever stars are even taking notice to these big changes and are encouraged about the future of the franchise going forward.

Aliyah Boston even believes that Indianapolis should be a place players want to come be a part of. "At all free agents, you know where it's at," she said.

Lexie Hull emphasized that these investments show the dedication that the organization and the city as a whole are pouring into the Fever. "I think it's going to be great for our team to be able to attract some really great free agents," she added.

The facility will be over 100,000 square foot with three stories. The Fever currently share a facility with the Indiana Pacers, which was renovated in 2020.

These changes that are coming are a direct reflection of the attention that no only the league, but the Fever themselves are receiving. After drafting Caitlin Clark in last year's draft, the league as a whole is really starting to elevate the sport not just for fans, but the players and coaches.

Indianapolis is proud to call themselves to Fever and have high hopes that bringing these state of the art facilities will provide players with the necessary resources to be successful. It is set to be complete before the 2027 WNBA season.
