Caitlin Clark bonds with Eagles' Jason Kelce over the most hilarious thing

Clark and Kelce both grew up in the Midwest, and have something in common when it comes to injuries.

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark appeared on the New Heights podcast on Thursday, joining NFL brothers Travis and Jason Kelce for an hour-long conversation about anything and anything Caitlin Clark.

Somehow, the funniest moment in the entire episode had nothing to do with basketball.

Travis Kelce asked Clark if she could recall any particular event from the past season that she would consider her "Welcome to the WNBA" moment. Clark had one ready.

"It was early on, I want to say it was our 10th game of the year," said Clark. "We're playing in New York against the Liberty... somebody set a screen on me and I hit my ear just perfect on the girl where my eardrum popped and ruptured. I knew it right away because I've done it before-- it hurts so bad."

Jason Kelce perked up and got more animated over the course of Clark's answer. He said he had ruptured his eardrum as well, and wanted to guess what Clark was doing when she had sustained the injury the first time. Clark said the activity was "very Mid-Western."

"It was something to do with water," said Kelce, which drew a grin from Clark. Kelce then got very excited before being reminded by Travis that it probably was not the right thing to celebrate.

"I got launched off a tube in the middle of a lake," said Clark. "I was underwater, like 'am I going to be okay?'"

Jason Kelce chimed in and said that his eardrum popped when he jumped off the diving board in a pool. He said he "tried to do as many flips as [he] could" before impacting the water face-first.

"Jason was a male swim cadet, so he had to [perform well]," said Travis, which drew laughter from the rest of the room.

Luckily for both Jason and Clark, their eardrums are now in good shape. While Clark cannot always avoid hard screens, it is safe to say that Jason Kelce has stayed away from diving boards...
