Caitlin Clark has feature at the Hall of Fame (and it is in the perfect location)

Sheryl Swoopes cannot be happy.

The Indiana Fever are back because of Caitlin Clark. She won Rookie of the Year in dominant fashion and finished fourth in MVP voting. Clark was a game-changer for the entire WNBA after breaking the all-time NCAA scoring record at the University of Iowa. The 22-year-old is elite and should only improve from here.

It is an important offseason for the Fever. They have their superstar and two All-Stars flanking her, but their supporting cast is not good enough to be serious title contenders. Indiana was bounced in the first round of the playoffs and must upgrade their roster to make a deep postseason run.

It was a record-breaking year for Clark as he helped the Fever snap the longest playoff drought in the W. She was outstanding, and it was enough to get her a cutout at the Hall of Fame. The placement of it could not have been more perfect.

Caitlin Clark’s feature at the Hall of Fame is under Sheryl Swoopes banner

The 2024 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame enshrinements took place over the weekend. The class was led by Seimone Augustus, Chauncey Billups, and Vince Carter, but featured 13 worthy inductees in six different categories. It was a celebratory weekend, but it was hard not to notice something ironic. Scott Agness took a photo of Clark’s cutout and where it stood in the Hall.

It is one of two directly below the Sheryl Swoopes banner. The legend was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2016 and is one of the all-time WNBA greats. Swoopes won four championships and three MVP honors. She is one of the best to ever do it and not a fan of Caitlin Clark.

Swoopes has made several head-scratching comments about the Fever’s current star, including claiming she is not dominant. Clark broke the records of assists in a game and a season as a rookie. The Fever produced the best offense in the W after the Olympic break with Clark orchestrating. That sounds dominant to me.

There is no way Swoopes was happy to see this. Fans were loving it on social media with many suggesting the Hall of Fame did it on purpose as a troll.

Caitlin Clark is just getting started. She wants to have a banner in the Hall of Fame someday. The 22-year-old is on the right path and is already the face of the WNBA. Expect her star to continue to rise and lift the entire sport with her. Fans are witnessing something special, so please enjoy every second.
