For now, basketball has proven to be the correct career path for Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark.

The WNBA's reigning Rookie of the Year and TIME Magazine's Athlete of the Year had a "historic" first season in the league, finishing as the league's assist leader and a Top-10 scorer. She also recorded a triple-double, a feat no rookie had ever accomplished in WNBA history. Clark did it twice.

On the most recent episode of the New Heights podcast, Clark joined Travis and Jason Kelce to talk about the young star's accomplishments in 2024. The topic of Clark's future after basketball came up, and Clark hinted at joining a WNBA front office when she decides to hang it up. But another career path Clark mentioned may surprise fans:

Ribs

"I had this weird obsession with ribs. It was what I asked my mom to make me for my birthday," said Clark. "So I was like 'yeah, I'm going to open the Rib Crib, have this barbecue joint... We'll see."

The Rib Crib. Clark's degree in marketing is on full display with this one.

Clark went on to describe the perfect barbecue dish. Obviously, she needs her baby back ribs, but the sides is where it gets tricky.

"I gotta go with some mac and cheese, have to have cornbread," said Clark. "Maybe some green beans with bacon... baked beans are great, I love baked beans."

With each side, you could almost see Jason Kelce's mouth watering.

"Full disclosure, I haven't had dinner yet," said Kelce.

Clark obviously has a passion for American cuisine, though she claims to have "phased out" her obsession with barbecue. But don't be surprised if the Rib Crib pops up in downtown Indianapolis.
