WNBA All-Star and Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark is anticipated to have yet another massive season for the Indiana Fever. As expected, she shattered a laundry list of records in her first year in the league. Clark averaged 19 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game.
This year won't be any different, especially with the experienced pieces the Fever added in the off-season. In fact, Clark has been spotted in the gym multiple times already with her new teammates and new coaching staff. Chemistry is an important tool for success and being ready to compete and well prepped is something Clark is one of the best at.
Experience surrounding Clark will help bulk stat lines in second season
Last season the Fever struggled with depth on their roster. Because of this, fatigue set in for Clark despite having a month off for the Olympic break. She was second in the league in minutes played, averaging 35 minutes per game. Not a single game was missed throughout her entire rookie season. This makes her record breaking season even more impressive because the Fever relied on her so heavily.
This season will look different for her for various reasons. She built confidence, sharpened skills, got stronger and now has new teammates all in one off-season. Having even more veteran leadership surrounding her such as DeWanna Bonner, Natasha Howard and Sophie Cunningham will set Clark up for more success. These players alongside her will likely increase her assists and points per game all while still taking the pressure off of her. The Fever now have balance on their roster which was much needed for Clark's longevity.
It is expected that she may repeat most of her records already set last season. Certainly assists (337) and fastest to 100 three-point shots in a season are both in the realm of possibility, even no longer being a rookie. The list goes on for Clark and the stakes are even greater now that fans know what she can do at the professional level.
what a year for Caitlin Clark.

Clark has to take some bad with the good. Learning and gaining experience will help her eliminate one record from her resume. She led the entire league in turnovers and even set a record (223) surpassing Alyssa Thomas in the category.
Clark looks to set the tone on another memorable season and lead the Fever to championship contention beginning next month when they open up at home against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky.
