WNBA training camps kicked off on Sunday, April 27, and perhaps no team in the league has more eyeballs on it right now than the Indiana Fever.

Photos from the first day of training camp showed an already strong team that is getting ready to dominate. Both Aliyah Boston and DeWanna Bonner spoke to reporters about what's happening on the ground in Indiana, and so far it's clear fans have a lot to be excited about.

Boston hinted that her dynamic with Caitlin Clark is changing — and only for the better. Boston, who typically ran the court in the year that preceded Clark's draft, had to adjust to a different style of play at the beginning of the 2024 season, something the Fever also had to do as a team. But now that the pair have a season behind them, they're both ready to hit the floor running in 2025.

"I think initially last year, at the beginning of the season, it was a little rough just trying to continue to figure out that play," Boston said. "But now we know exactly how we like to play, how we like to get the ball, and what we'd like to do to transition. So I think it's going to make it super easy because we're just going to be able to flow right into it."

The second day of Fever training camp was powerful

On the second day of training camp both Clark and Coach Stephanie White had plenty of praise for Bonner, a seasoned vet who is bringing championship experience to Indiana. White previously coached Bonner at the Connecticut Sun, and has been effusive in her praise for the 6'4" superstar.

Bonner is "vocal," White told reporters on Monday. The vet has on problem pulling specific players to the side to talk to them about where they can improve, and "she's experienced a lot of different things, whether it's been teammates playing with some of the best in the world, franchises, coaches, all of those things."

Bonner brings a tremendous wisdom to a team that's still made up of young players, some of whom have only played two playoff games in their entire professional careers. That also isn't lost on Clark, who told reporters she wants to win the championship for Bonner if she can.

The Indiana Fever is locking in

Photos shared on social media by the team from the second day of training camp reveal an Indiana Fever that's locking in, piece by piece. While the team is bound to have plenty of fun this season, they're also going to have to shift all of those pieces into something cohesive and powerful. With the way things are shaping up, it's looking like they just might pull it off.
