A couple of Indiana Fever stars have been making headlines overseas this month, including two big performances over the past 24 hours.

Last week, Fever forward Temi Fagbenle was the player capturing the attention of the Indiana fanbase. This week, guards Kelsey Mitchell and Erica Wheeler are the ones making headlines.

On Saturday, Mitchell scored a whopping 37 points en route to a victory for the Shanxi Flame in China. Mitchell also finished with five boards, three assists, and a steal, filling up the stat sheet and continuing her solid season overseas. Mitchell is averaging 29.5 points per game in her four contests so far with the Flame.

Mitchell is one of Indiana's top priorities this offseason. The 29-year-old standout is heading into free agency this offseason and should garner a ton of interest from the rest of the WNBA. Given how well she and rookie guard Caitlin Clark played together this past season, the Fever are expected to be eager to re-sign her. This recent performance is yet another reason to keep Mitchell in the red, yellow, and blue.

Heading over to Turkey, Wheeler also impressed in her outing on the same night with Nesibe Aydin in a 100-98 thriller. Wheeler dropped a double-double (26 points, 10 assists) on 56% shooting from the field.

Wheeler is averaging 13 points per game for the Turkish club, but last night was her second double-double in three games. It's the right time to get hot, as Wheeler is another member of the Fever heading into free agency.

Wheeler, Mitchell, and Fagbenle are all showing out as we slowly approach the beginning of the 2025 WNBA season. At the current moment, none of these players are signed to Unrivaled, the brand-new 3v3 women's basketball league set to begin in January. Their play overseas will be the final opportunities to raise their stock.
