Caitlin Clark has been spending the WNBA offseason in the weight room — a fact that became evident in a series of photos shared by sports photographer Bri Lewerke on X.

The photos prompted a strong reaction from fans on the platform. "Her bully count for next season just dropped by 40%," wrote one fan while another noted, "They won't be pushing her around next year."

Clark has been on hand at the Big Ten women's basketball tournament this week to support her alma mater as they make a run for the NCAA Tourament this month. She's been spotted multiple times at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where the games have taken place. Clark saw the Hawkeyes topple Wisconsin 81-54 and Michigan State 74-61 on Thursday.

On Friday Clark spoke with the Big Ten Network about how much she enjoys being able to support Iowa at the tournament. "It's pretty fun, and I love getting to be able to support this program," she said. "Obviously a lot of these girls were my teammates, and getting to see Jan in her first year and they're playing their best basketball."

The Fever are gearing up for a major season

The Fever will open up the season with three preseason games this year. The first on May 3 will be played at Gainbridge against the Mystics. The team will then travel back to Clark's alma mater to meet the Brazilian National Team on May 4 before playing against the Dream in Atlanta on May 10.

President Kelly Krauskopf recently noted that the WNBA will see "a very hungry group of players" this season. The team made big moves during free agency, including signing DeWanna Bonner and Natasha Howard to its roster.

"First, this is an extremely competitive group—that’s number one," she continued. "Everybody likes to talk about it, but these players really are about that. They’re extremely competitive. They love the game."

The team is also bringing heat. "And then from a style standpoint, we added players that like to play up-tempo, that like to get out and run, score in transition," Krauskopf continued. "And I think you’re going to continue to see a fast-paced, really fun environment of basketball on the court that leads to a lot of scoring, a lot of fast-paced play."

Many fans are anticipating a major playoff run for the Fever as well — and won't be surprised if the team wins it all. The team will benefit from the knowledge and skills Aliyah Boston and Clark have gained in the offseason (Boston has been playing in Unrivaled in Miami) and the collective championship experience that Bonner, Howard, and Sydney Colson will bri
