When you're the hottest team in the nation's fastest-growing league, you can expect to break some records.

The Indiana Fever had a dismal 2023 season in ticket sales. With just 81,336 fans attending all 40 games (an average of just 2,033 fans per game), the Fever ranked 13th in attendance leaguewide, second to last in the WNBA.

Drafting the most anticipated rookie in WNBA history tends to change things.

It only took Indiana five home games to clear 2023's attendance total. When it was all said and done, the Fever sold out 16 of the 20 home games on the schedule. The WNBA released its final attendance numbers, which placed Indiana comfortably in first place with 340,715 tickets sold. This number shattered the previous WNBA record of 250,565 for the New York Liberty-- a record that stood for 23 years.

On the road, the Fever draw was just as strong. Fox 59 Indianapolis reported that of the 40 regular season games that the Fever participated in, only four games were not sold out. Those four games-- the remaining four home games that Indiana was unable to sell out.

Many teams, like the Washington Mystics (twice), needed to change venues in order to hold the sheer amount of Fever fans that either traveled with the team or were based in the cities the Fever traveled to.

The Fever averaged about 17,000 fans at home and another 14,000 on the road

More fans meant more merchandise. The WNBA announced that merchandise sales were up a whopping 601%, and a lot of this had to do with the Fever. Caitlin Clark's jersey was sold more than any other piece of merch leaguewide.

A select amount of Fever tickets for the 2025 season are already on sale, as well as a waitlist for those who wish to purchase when the remainder of the tickets become available. It's safe to say that 2025 will bring just as much success-- if not more.
