The Indiana Fever are coming off a historic season, and things will be far from quiet. Caitlin Clark won Rookie of the Year and finished fourth in MVP voting, but it was only the beginning. The 22-year-old is elite. The Fever are eager to build a title contender around her and have already remade their front office.

Her team may be busy, but Clark plans on having a relaxing offseason after 11 straight months of basketball. She went right from leading the University of Iowa into the NCAA Finals to her first WNBA season. It is time for a deserved break, but Clark cannot stop competing.

She is taking on a different challenge this offseason. Many of her teammates will play in various leagues this offseason, but Clark is focusing on a different sport. Fans found out on Monday that the 22-year-old will soon be playing in a tournament.

Caitlin Clark set to play in golf pro-am in November

She is scheduled to take part in The Annika pro-am on Nov. 13. The tournament is hosted by Annika Sorenstam at the Pelican Gold Club in Florida. It may be too cold to golf in Indiana by mid-November, but Clark won’t have any issues in the Sunshine State.

The Fever’s superstar is excited about the event and had this to say in a story published by the AP.

“I love golf so the opportunity to play in the pro-am for a tournament with a legend like Annika Sorenstam’s name on it is so exciting,”

This will be far from Clark’s first time on the golf course. She talked about focusing more on this game during her press conference after the Fever were swept by the Connecticut Sun in the opening round of the playoffs. It will be fantastic to see what Clark can do, but do not expect her to dominate like she does on the court.

The 22-year-old will take part in The Women’s Leadership Summit as a panelist on Nov. 12. Clark will be there for a few fantastic days in Florida. She is eager to showcase her talents on the course and prove she belongs in more of these events.

The pro-am is not scheduled to be televised, but that may change quickly after Caitlin Clark’s commitment to play. Everybody wants to see her immense talents and this will be just another way for Clark to prove her popularity.

The Indiana Fever are focused on improving their roster around Clark. They need more defense and shooting to take the next step. Indiana has exited a rebuild, but building a contender won’t be easy. It is all about finding the right pieces to put around their superstar.

Caitlin Clark’s golf game will be entertaining, and everyone will be rooting for her. The Fever’s star is special, and just getting started. Now is the time for the front office to make moves. Expect a better Clark in year two, and that alone should have fans pumped for the 2025 season.
