The Indiana Fever snapped a seven-year playoff drought, but are eager for more. Caitlin Clark is already one of the best playmakers in the WNBA, and the talented rookie wants to make a deep playoff run. She is special and continues to break records.

The 22-year-old already set the record for most assists in a season and a game along with a host of rookie records. Clark is the biggest draw in the W, and her play is backing that up. Fans have seen her shine on the biggest stage in college, but can she make it happen again?

The Fever are the sixth seed in the playoffs and face two road games in the best-of-3 first round. Indiana must win one to get a home contest. It won’t be easy, but Clark will keep dominating. Here is a look at six records she will have her eyes on entering the playoffs.

Caitlin Clark will become the youngest to score 30-plus in the WNBA playoffs

Rhyne Howard set this mark last season when she dropped 36 points as a 23-year-old for the Atlanta Dream. Clark does not turn 23 until January, and she will become the first 22-year-old to drop 30 in the WNBA playoffs.

The Fever’s superstar has four 30-point games this season with her two highest-scoring games coming since Aug. 30th. Clark is just starting to hit her stride and likely erupts for a monster stat line in her first playoffs.

Caitlin Clark will break mark for the highest assist per game average in the playoffs

Courtney Vandersloot holds the record for the highest career assists per game average in the playoffs at 7.2 each night over 50 contests. Sue Bird holds the record for most total assists with 364.

Clark should top Vandersloot’s mark. It will be in a small sample, but the 22-year-old has averaged 8.4 assists per game this season and has put up over ten every night since June 30. She is already the best playmaker in the W, and Clark will have the ball in her hands plenty. Breaking this next record is possible, but unlikely.

Caitlin Clark has a shot to set a new playoff record for assists in a game

Vandersloot dropped 18 dimes on Sun in Game 1 of the 2021 semifinals. Chicago went on to win the championship over the Mercury.

Clark had a record-setting 19 dimes against the Dallas Wings just before the Olympic break, but it is the only time she topped 13 this season. The 22-year-old could put up a massive assist total in her first playoffs. Do not expect her to break this record, and these other marks feel out of reach.

Caitlin Clark has no shot at breaking these records in her first playoffs

Clark is an elite scorer, but she has never topped 35 points in a game. The WNBA playoff record is 42 points set by Brianna Stewart and Angel McCoughtry. Diana Taurasi holds the mark with 245 points in a single postseason, which is out of Clark’s reach unless the Fever make an improbable run to the WNBA Finals.

Courtney Vandersloot has the record for most assists in a single playoffs with 102 in 2021. She averaged over ten dimes in her ten games played. Clark would need a run to the WNBA Finals to touch that mark. It seems unlikely for the rookie, but fans have regretted doubting her so far.

What will Caitlin Clark do in her first WNBA Playoffs? Can she lead the Indiana Fever on a deep run? Fans know she will shine and sell out arenas. Stay tuned to see how Clark performs and if the Fever are already a title challenger.
