1. Tamika Catchings

Catching is the Fever’s unquestioned GOAT. The Hall of Famer is one of the best to ever play in the WNBA and her accomplishments do not seem possible. Catchings spent her entire 15-year career in Indiana and was elite throughout.

The 6’1 forward crowning achievement was winning a championship in 2012. It cemented her as one of the best to ever play, but she had that status long before winning the ring.

She is arguably the WNBA’s best defender of all time. She holds the career record for steals and nobody has ever made more than her 12 All-Defensive appearances. That makes zero mention of her ten All-Star appearances or MVP honors in 2011.

Catchings also played a crucial role in Team USA winning four Olympic gold medals from 2004 to 2016.

Catchings was in the running for WNBA MVP every year, including finishing eighth in her 15th and final season. Her list of accolades is too long to write and she holds nearly every record in Fever history.

The Indiana Fever hope to recreate their success around Tamika Catchings with the organization’s current roster. Aliyah Boston, Caitlin Clark, and Kelsey Mitchell are a strong Big 3 that should have the Fever back to their glory days if the front office can put the right pieces around them. Indiana did it with Catchings, which should give fans hope for the future.
