9. Shavonte Zellous
Zellous was a first-round draft pick in 2009 but did not arrive in Indiana until 2010. The 5’10 guard was third in Rookie of the Year voting for the Shock. Her minutes decreased in year two, and the Fever were quick to trade a second-round draft pick for Zellous.
Indiana lost in the WNBA Finals in 2009 and were eager to win their first championship. They knew the versatile skill set of Zellous would help them on both ends of the floor. She blossomed in Indiana and helped the Fever win it all in 2012.
Zellous was far from done. She won Most Improved Player in 2013 and became an All-Star for the first time as she averaged 14.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 0.9 steals in 31.3 minutes per game. It would be the best statistical year of her career as Zellous was their third-leading scorer.
Only 12 women have played more games with the Fever than Shavonte Zellous. The guard is tenth in franchise history in scoring and eighth in win shares. She is unquestionably one of the best to wear the uniform.
Zellous played 13 years in the WNBA and was part of ten different playoff teams. The former All-Star won her lone championship in Indiana and will forever be remembered for her five-plus seasons with the Fever.
