8. Tully Bevilaqua

The Australian guard began her professional career with the Perth Breakers before coming to the WNBA in 1998. Her first stint did not go as planned, and Belvilaqua was mostly a role player but won a championship before signing with the Indiana Fever in 2005.

She helped jumpstart the team’s success. The Fever made the playoffs for just the second team in her first year, and it was only the beginning. Bevilaqua made six straight All-Defensive teams as Indiana made the playoffs every year. The Fever made it to the WNBA Finals in 2009 before falling to the Phoenix Mercury in five games.

Bevilaqua has played the sixth-most games in Fever history and sits fifth in 3-pointers made, sixth in assists, and second in steals. She was known for her elite defense as the franchise reached new heights. Bevilaqua retired two years before Indiana won the championship, but the 5’7 guard played a key role in the team becoming one of the best in the WNBA.

Tully Bevilaqua won a silver medal at the 2008 Olympics before leaving the Indiana Fever to join the San Antonio Silver Stars in 2011. She played two more years in the WNBA before retiring. The 51-year-old is back in the league with the Fever as a video associate for the 2024 season.
