There are endless superlatives you could use to describe TIME Athlete of the Year Caitlin Clark. Above all else, however, she is synonymous with one thing: three-point shooting.

The Indiana Fever finally saw that side of Clark on full display when they traveled to the nation's capital to take on the Washington Mystics in the Commissioner's Cup.

Indiana was a mere 2-9 heading into this one, five days removed from a devastating 104-68 loss to the New York Liberty. Clark, herself, had her worst shooting performance as a pro-- just three points on 1-of-10 shooting from the field. She told the broadcasters before the game that she had not been shooting the ball well and was looking to get back on track.

And back on track she got.

Clark took it slow out of the gate, finishing the first half with just 10 points, but was able to contribute in other ways. The first quarter alone saw Clark rack up four assists and three steals. She would finish with six and four respectively.

In the second half, Clark started to get hot. From four minutes to go in the third quarter through eight minutes left in the fourth, Clark took five three-point shots and hit all five of them. It did not matter if she was receiving a pass or shooting off the dribble-- she could not miss.

The run gave Indiana a seven point lead, their largest of the second half. While the Mystics made it close down the stretch, Indiana would not give up the lead again. The Fever took it, 85-83.

Clark finished with her second 30-point game of the season, as well as eight rebounds, six assists, and four steals. But those seven shots from beyond the arc was just a taste of what fans could expect for the rest of the season.
