Another day, another Indiana Fever player showing out overseas. This time, though, two Fever teammates went at it-- on opposing sides.
Fever guard Erica Wheeler and her squad, Nesibe Aydin, took down OGM Ormanspor on Saturday with a final score of 91-81. Ormanspor features another Fever guard, Grace Berger, and the two Fever teammates both showed out in the contest.
Wheeler filled up the stat sheet, finishing just two assists shy of a double-double (16 points, eight assists). Surprisingly, Wheeler finished with the team's third-highest points total, as teammates Sydney Wallace and former WNBA player Jaime Nared finished with 23 and 21 points respectively.
Wheeler has recorded double-digit points in five of her last six contests, as well as averaged seven asssists per game in that span.
Berger had a big night of her own, scoring 19 points to go along with six rebounds in the loss. She shot 8 of 14 from the field, going 1-for-3 from deep.
In her eight games with Ormanspor, Berger has recorded double-digit points in all but two contests. This was her fourth game with 15 points or more.
Berger is also averaging over six rebounds and 3.5 assists per game this offseason with the Turkish club.
Berger adds her name to the Fever standouts this offseason, which includes Wheeler, Temi Fagbenle, NaLyssa Smith, and Kelsey Mitchell. Berger is signed to the Fever through 2026 and Smith through next season, but the rest are entering free agency this offseason.
Wheeler and Nesibe Aydin next take on Fenerbahce on December 7, while Berger and Ormanspor will face another Fever teammate, Fagbenle, and Besiktas the following day.
