The Indiana Fever are coming off a breakout season led by Caitlin Clark. The rookie set records, won awards, and changed the entire WNBA. It was a historic campaign that saw the league grow exponentially. Clark is already a star, but the Fever are not satisfied.

They hope to jump into title contention in 2025. Indiana has remade their front office with Kelly Krauskopf returning as their lead decision-maker. The Fever plan on upgrading their roster, but building a serious contender around Clark won’t be easy. They will need some internal growth with the improvements to make that leap.

Clark is taking some time off and plans for a quiet offseason, but she should reconsider. There is the perfect opportunity to play with her teammates and work on her game before her second WNBA season ramps up.

Caitlin Clark should join Athletes Unlimited ahead of their 2025 season

Unrivaled is pushing hard to land Clark. The player backed league promises ownership stake and larger salaries for the participants. They just signed a massive TV deal with TNT, but it is a 3-on-3 game. Clark does not need that, and the perfect league exists to play with her current Fever teammates.

Athletes Unlimited is 5-on-5 and featured Kelsey Mitchell, Lexi Hull, and Grace Berger in 2024. Mitchell signed to play in China this offseason and won’t take part, but Aliyah Boston may also be searching for somewhere to improve her skills. If Athletes Unlimited can sign Clark and Boston to play with Hull, they would be the most popular league and it would give the Fever players a chance to work on their games together.

Things would snowball if Clark commits. They must pay up but would be getting a massive draw. Expect networks to line up to buy the rights, and sales would go through the roof.

It is not about the money for the Fever’s superstar. She should be eager to work on her game and gear up for an MVP push in year two.

There are no current Fever in Unrivaled, and the league has just four more players to announce. Clark would get more out of playing 5-on-5 and working with her teammates. She should sign with Athletes Unlimited if she decides to play this offseason. The season is still months away and would be the perfect tune-up for the 2025 WNBA campaign. The decision lies with Caitlin Clark.
